Maturity

Soon after leading Oakwood into senior status, President Moran turned over leadership to Frank Loris Peterson, the first, full-time Black faculty to be hired at Oakwood.  President Peterson appointed a Committee on Accreditation whose work helped Oakwood obtain accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges.  Presidents that have served Oakwood at the College / University level include:
